Create your own gobo
Most of the Gobo's we produce are for Front projection. If you are ordering a Gobo you will tell us whether it is going to be front or rear projection because there are a few subtle differences.
Front projection is the standard way to project Gobos. This type of projection gives the clearest, detailed results as it is without obstruction.
Rear Projection is rarely chosen as a preferred method, as image quality isn't as good when seen through a translucent surface. Rear projection also isn't as popular because projectors such as our Evica are easy to hide. Also note went ordering glass Gobo's we need to flip the image.
• Vector files - .ai, .eps or editable PDF’s (this is the preferred artwork type). • image files - .psd, tiff, jpeg, or png. Minimum 600dpi, image size 130mm x 130mm
Artwork should be supplied as a editable vector file where possible (Adobe Illustrator .eps, .ai or as a editable PDF).
This is our ideal format and is perfect for logos and text as is not resolution dependant and gives the best quality image. Fonts in these files should be outlined or included where possible.
Any other artwork should be saved as Adobe Photoshop compatible file where possible.
JPEGs can be sent but the resolution and compression of the file may reduce the image quality. Poor quality images once projected. Magnify any imperfections.
To achieve the best possible projection with image files we ask that your artwork be saved at minimum resolution of 600dpi with an image size of at least 130 x 130mm.
File sizes of 12MB can be sent via the site. Files larger than this can be sent via a file sharing site.
In some cases poor quality artwork can be redrawn as a vector file but artwork charges may apply.
