Catalogue gobo or custom gobo? How to order…
Whether you want to buy a gobo from our expansive range of designs or you’d like to project your very own design the process is easy.
Catalogue gobos:
We have a catalogue of over 1,100 designs in metal, monochrome glass or coloured glass gobos ranging from seasonal themes to urban landscapes. But if you are looking for a stock gobo and you’re unable to find what you need, let us know and we’ll design the gobo for you! We’ll simply add it to our collection and only charge you our standard catalogue price.
To order an existing design simply go to the order from our catalogue button on our home page and follow the instructions.
Custom gobos:
Whatever the design or image you’d like to project we can help you realise your vision.
You simply provide us with your bespoke design or photographic image and we’ll do the rest.
The ideal way to send us artwork is to email it to us at gobo@projectedimage.com or by uploading it to our website.
We accept a variety of different formats. We use Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop CS3 to prepare artwork for gobo production.
• Vector artwork should be saved as an Adobe Illustrator compatible file. This is our ideal format and is perfect for logos and text.
• Bitmapped artwork should be saved as an Adobe Photoshop compatible file. You can send jpeg’s, but the resolution and compression of the file may reduce the image quality. If this is the case we will redraw or ask you to supply a higher resolution file.
• To achieve the best possible projection we ask that your artwork be saved at minimum resolution of 600dpi with an image size of at least 127mm x 127mm.
• If you need to reduce the file size of your artwork please use a file compression utility instead of a graphic compression i.e. highly compressed jpeg files.
• Files less than 5MB can be emailed to gobo@projectedimage.com
• Files between 5-10MB can be emailed to projectedimage@googlemail.com
• Files in excess of 10MB will have to be uploaded to this website or posted on CD to: Projected Image UK Ltd, Unit 17 Hoults Estate, Walker Road, Newcastle upon Tyne NE6 2HL.
• We also accept hard copies of artwork but please note additional redraw charges may be incurred with complex and low quality artwork.
• Hard copies can be faxed to 0191 265 8742 or posted to the above address.
If you need to place an order containing both custom and catalogue designs (and you are a new or payment in advance customer), you will only be able to pay for the catalogue part of your order online.
Custom payments are not taken until approval of the custom artwork.
