How Should Glass Gobos Be Cleaned?

Try to avoid getting any dirt or grease on the gobos as these will cause ‘hot spots’ which will damage the coating. Monochrome (black and white) gobos can be cleaned very carefully using a cotton bud and alcohol or acetone. Colour gobos need to be treated even more carefully due to the thin layers of dichroic glass used. We would advise against cleaning them yourself– call for further advice. We will always be happy to clean gobos for you, send them to us here and we can clean them for you free of charge.
